The Montana DNRC Water Resources Division (MTWRD) is the water resources agency for the State of Montana. MTWRD is responsible for promoting and coordinating the beneficial use, conservation, protection, and development of Montana's water resources. MTWRD has the authority to permit efforts to increase in-stream flows and encourages water users to take advantage of existing statutory opportunities to do so.
