The Clark Fork Coalition (CFC) works cooperatively with landowners in western Montana to develop innovative water transactions to restore tributary flows to benefit native fisheries. For 25 years, the Coalition has been working to protect and restore the Clark Fork River basin, a 22,000 square mile area making up the eastern headwaters of the Columbia River system. In 2010, the Coalition brought on board the programs and staff of the Montana Water Trust, who had been developing water transactions across Montana for eight years.
